Survivor are the stars of the Komen Vermont Race for the Cure and an inspiration to us all. Breast cancer survivors who wish to be recognized will receive a complementary pink cap and pink t-shirt provided by Bank of America.
Survivors are welcome to visit the Survivor Tent on Race Day. Beginning at 7:00 am, there will be food, beverages, a special goodie bag and a whole lot of celebration!
All survivors are asked to gather at the Survivor Tent at 8:30 am to be part of a special photograph. For copies of the photograph, please email email@example.com and a copy will be mailed to you.
The Wishing Tree
A wonderful Buddhist tradition. It is believed that if you write your wish on a piece of paper and tie it to a tree, the wind will blow the words into the air and your wish will come true. The Wishing Tree will then be planted at Riley Rink.
“In Celebration of” and “In Memory of” Back Signs
Participants are invited to recognize those special people who have been touched by breast cancer. “In Celebration of” and “In Memory of” back signs are available for all Race Participants in the Registration Tent. Bank of America is the National Sponsor of the Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition Group.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three overall breast cancer survivor runners and walkers. You must be present at the Awards Ceremony to receive prizes. The Awards Ceremony will take place 11:00 am.
A special, convenient section of the parking area will be set for survivors. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or (802) 362-2733 for more information.
